All
FCC Part 90 Private Land Mobile Radio licensees operating on frequencies between
150-174 MHz
(VHF) and
421-470 MHz
(UHF)
are required to convert
their current wideband voice dispatch, data, SCADA, and
radio paging systems
to narrowband operation (or
"equivalent efficiency"
) no later than
January 1, 2013
unless -- and only if
-- a
Narrowbanding Waiver
has been issued to the licensee
.
